“ The inside is very casual and nice. The waitress was nice. We ordered the Mantu Buns , Katsu Tonkatsu and the donuts. Also the hot green tea. I loved the Mantu Bums was so good. The bun was so soft and moist, the pork and the ingredients inside the bun was delicious. The Katsu Tonkatsu had strips of breaded pork. This was my first time having pork breaded in my Tonkatsu. It was not favorite. The broth was ok. Overall it was ok for me. I have had better Tonkatsu. The donuts were so soft and tasty. Highly recommend. The green tea was very flavorful, perfect balance. “ If you are craving for ramen on a cold night this restaurant is definitely highly recommended. Ramen-San never disappoints! Their wings, pork belly bun, and brussels sprouts were all on point. Ramen was also very flavorful and meat was very tender. The hot donuts were good too! The service is excellent, and the ambiance is very American and aesthetically pleasing. I thoroughly enjoyed my dining experience here. I would definitely go back and urge others to try it! ”

“ I love Ramen-San!!! This was my first time at this location & I had a great experience. Me + 2 friends walked in around 1:30 on a Saturday and had to wait ~30 mins which wasn't too bad. It's a bit small inside, so I would make a reservation if you can. They have a great lunch deal that includes salad, marinated cucumbers, your choice of ramen & a choice of a rice plate. So much food for about $16 if I'm remembering correctly. High quality food all around. Perfect lunch or casual dinner spot!! ”

“ Certainky helped with my ramen craving; some of the best and spices ramen I've had in a long time. I think it's cool too how they got special ramen dishes rotating, and alsi specialty fried rice after 9 PM (ours was bacon and egg). Our server was also the nicest guy I've had serve a table in a while, it's something that I didn't take for granted. Only dig is that it's pretty small inside, however, the aesthetic remains that of a traditional ramen shop. ”

“ Solid ramen spot!! Ramen San has several locations that all have consistently solid ramen! The broths are very flavorful and the food is decently priced. We walked in on a Saturday afternoon as a party of 2 and waited ~10 min for a table. Highly recommend ordering their Lunch Express if you want several small bites for a great value ($16.95)! The portions for Lunch Express are smaller, but the meal is still filling. I usually get a Tonkatsu ramen, but wanted something less meat-forward on this visit, and so I ordered the Tantan-San ramen, which is their vegetarian bowl. Despite it being vegetarian, the broth was still yummy and flavorful, unlike other lighter miso broths. You pay via a QR code on the table, which is very efficient. Note that a restaurant labor surcharge is automatically added to the bill (+3.5%). Will definitely keep this spot as a reliable go-to whenever I revisit CHI and am craving a comforting meal! ”

“ I've visited Ramen-San on Hubbard a handful of times and it's been great each time. The fried chicken ramen is delicious, it has a great spice and flavor and doesn't need any additions. The service has been consistent each time, even when they are busy. This time we tried the edamame hummus which had a pretty mild and unique flavor, I'm glad we tried it but not sure I would get it again. And then for dessert we got the hot donut balls which were perfectly fluffy and came with a miso caramel type dipping sauce - so good!! Vibes are so good for a cozy night, girls night, or even date night. They play music and it's a darker ambiance. Definitely recommend! ”
